Introduction
At LRDG, we take a comprehensive approach to language learning, combining tutoring sessions with self-study to help you master your language skills. Whether you’re studying part-time, full-time, or through our accelerated part-time program, our tutoring sessions focus on the oral aspects of language learning, with personalized feedback and guidance to ensure you’re on the right path.
Tutoring Sessions: The Core of LRDG’s Approach
Our tutoring sessions are designed to help you practice and improve your speaking and comprehension skills in a structured environment. These sessions go together with self-study, giving you a balanced approach that helps solidify what you’ve learned. In between each session, you’re expected to spend 2-3 hours engaging with our online learning materials, allowing you to review and deepen your understanding.
Two Types of Tutoring Sessions: Individual and Group
At LRDG, you have the flexibility to choose the type of tutoring session that best fits your needs:
- Individual Tutoring (1-on-1):
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Format: Personalized, one-on-one sessions with your tutor.
- Benefits: These sessions provide focused attention on your unique strengths and challenges, helping you progress quickly.
- Group Tutoring:
- Group Size: Between 2 to 6 learners.
- Duration: Choose from 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours.
- Format: Interactive sessions conducted via Teams, allowing you to practice with peers.
- Benefits: Group sessions encourage collaborative learning, where you can practice with others at your level, benefiting from different perspectives and discussions.
Scheduling Your Sessions Based on Your Learning Plan
Your tutoring schedule depends on the learning methodology you’ve chosen at LRDG:
