François has been a French as a second language tutor at LRDG since 2016. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and has published illustrated works on the built heritage of Montreal and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, as well as led introductory drawing workshops.

Marie-Laure is a passionate and friendly French as a second language tutor. She holds a master's degree in linguistics. She has taught French in Lebanon for 6 years. Currently, she gives French tutoring sessions at LRDG, tailoring her approach to the needs of each learner.

Mary Blake Bonn

FSL Tutor

Mary Blake has been tutoring French as a second language at LRDG since January 2023. In addition to teaching, she is a trained musician with a PhD in music theory from Western University. A dedicated language learner, she is currently self‑teaching Spanish and also speaks some German and a little Italian.

Sepideh is a dedicated ESL evaluator with a TESOL certificate. She has been with LRDG since April 2025 and is passionate about helping students become confident communicators and lifelong learners by creating supportive environments where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves and building confidence.

Jaime Andres Negron Rodriguez

FSL Evaluator

Jaime joined LRDG in August 2023 as an evaluator. With a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages (French and Portuguese) from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Montreal, his diverse interests and expertise make him a valuable asset to our team. Jaime is also fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of Italian.

Eléna holds a Master’s degree in French Language and Literature and brings over eight years of teaching experience. For the past three years at LRDG, she has passionately shared her knowledge while exploring new cultures. Trilingual, Eléna transitions between languages like a chameleon, adapting to connect with her students. Her dynamic approach makes learning an engaging and enjoyable experience.

Marianne-Justine is a warm and enthusiastic French as a Second Language tutor. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and Literature with a minor in Russian. Fluent in French and English, she joined LRDG in January 2024. She always encourages her learners to immerse themselves in the language in any way they can, listening, reading, or even just surrounding themselves with it. Meryem joined LRDG in August 2023 as a French evaluator, bringing years of experience in teaching French and English. Since earning her double major in 2015, she has taught in Turkey and online to learners worldwide. A passionate linguist, Meryem speaks French, English, Turkish, Arabic, and is learning German. She loves reading novels, travelling, and helping learners achieve their language goals.

Amélie Zarir

FSL Evaluator

Amélie, a dedicated French as a Second Language evaluator, joined LRDG with a rich cultural background from her Moroccan and Québécois roots. She holds a Master's degree in Anthropology and a Certificate in Specialized Second-Language Teaching. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, with a basic proficiency in Arabic and Indonesian, Amélie’s passion for languages, dance, and playing the cello enriches her work.

Elizabeth has been an ESL tutor with LRDG since October 2021 and an evaluator since February 2025. With 15 years’ teaching experience, she has worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds. She has a BA (Hons) in French and Italian Studies, a TESL Certificate, and designations OCELT and ICTEAL. Passionate about language education, Elizabeth designs engaging, conversational lessons supported by digital media. Active in the TESL community, she also enjoys volunteering, music, and mystery shows.

Originally from Venezuela, Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Teaching. Her love for Montreal inspired her to move to Canada, where she continues to pursue her passion for teaching English. Marie has been a dedicated tutor at LRDG since 2019, sharing her passion for languages and cultural understanding. Fluent in French, English, German, and Russian, she uses an engaging and immersive approach to help learners develop their language skills. An accomplished writer, Marie is the author of three sagas, Les Enfants du Temps, Les Fantômes du Sud, and Escape Edinburgh, and is currently working on her 14th novel. Her storytelling expertise further enhances her ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Suzana has been a dedicated French language tutor at LRDG since 2016. A true polyglot, she speaks five languages and holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UdeM. Passionate about languages, teaching, and the arts, particularly photography and dance, Suzana brings a vibrant energy to her sessions. Her favorite teaching method is sparking debates and encouraging learners to express their opinions on a variety of topics, fostering an engaging and thought-provoking learning environment.

Eugénette (Gen) Morin is a creative writing coach and ESL teacher with over 15 years of international experience. Outside of teaching, she writes short stories and poetry and runs a Patreon page for collaborative writing challenges.
