François Guillet
FSL Tutor
François has been a French as a second language tutor at LRDG since 2016. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and has published illustrated works on the built heritage of Montreal and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, as well as led introductory drawing workshops.
Marie-Laure Bejjany
FSL Tutor and Evalutor
Marie-Laure is a passionate and friendly French as a second language tutor. She holds a master's degree in linguistics. She has taught French in Lebanon for 6 years. Currently, she gives French tutoring sessions at LRDG, tailoring her approach to the needs of each learner.
Mary Blake Bonn
FSL Tutor
Mary Blake has been tutoring French as a second language at LRDG since January 2023. In addition to teaching, she is a trained musician with a PhD in music theory from Western University. A dedicated language learner, she is currently self‑teaching Spanish and also speaks some German and a little Italian.
Sepideh Abedi
ESL Evaluator
Sepideh is a dedicated ESL evaluator with a TESOL certificate. She has been with LRDG since April 2025 and is passionate about helping students become confident communicators and lifelong learners by creating supportive environments where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves and building confidence.
Jaime Andres Negron Rodriguez
FSL Evaluator
Jaime joined LRDG in August 2023 as an evaluator. With a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages (French and Portuguese) from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Montreal, his diverse interests and expertise make him a valuable asset to our team. Jaime is also fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of Italian.
Eléna Hkayem
FSL Tutor
Eléna holds a Master’s degree in French Language and Literature and brings over eight years of teaching experience. For the past three years at LRDG, she has passionately shared her knowledge while exploring new cultures. Trilingual, Eléna transitions between languages like a chameleon, adapting to connect with her students. Her dynamic approach makes learning an engaging and enjoyable experience.
Marianne-Justine Caron
FSL Tutor
Marianne-Justine is a warm and enthusiastic French as a Second Language tutor. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and Literature with a minor in Russian. Fluent in French and English, she joined LRDG in January 2024. She always encourages her learners to immerse themselves in the language in any way they can, listening, reading, or even just surrounding themselves with it. Because getting used to the sounds of a language makes all the difference in the long run!
Meriem Fassy El Fehri
FSL Tutor
Meriem is a French as a Second Language tutor at LRDG, passionate about learning and sharing knowledge with learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced speakers. A true polyglot, she speaks French, English, and Arabic, with a basic knowledge of Spanish. Her love for languages is matched by her dedication to teaching them. Meriem strives to create a stimulating and motivating learning environment where each learner can thrive and gain confidence in their language journey.
Meryem Sen Karacaer
FSL Evaluator
Meryem joined LRDG in August 2023 as a French evaluator, bringing years of experience in teaching French and English. Since earning her double major in 2015, she has taught in Turkey and online to learners worldwide. A passionate linguist, Meryem speaks French, English, Turkish, Arabic, and is learning German. She loves reading novels, travelling, and helping learners achieve their language goals.
Amélie Zarir
FSL Evaluator
Amélie, a dedicated French as a Second Language evaluator, joined LRDG with a rich cultural background from her Moroccan and Québécois roots. She holds a Master's degree in Anthropology and a Certificate in Specialized Second-Language Teaching. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, with a basic proficiency in Arabic and Indonesian, Amélie’s passion for languages, dance, and playing the cello enriches her work.
Emelie Larivée
ESL Tutor
Emelie is an experienced ESL tutor at LRDG, where she has been teaching since 2025. With nine years of experience, she believes that every adult learner brings valuable knowledge and insight to the classroom, and her role is to help them express it confidently in English. Passionate about language teaching, she also pursues equestrian entrepreneurship on the side, combining her love for words and horses in a uniquely fulfilling way.
Emelyne Okemba
FSL Tutor
Emelyne has been an FSL Tutor at LRDG since 2025. Originally from France, she moved to Canada two years ago and is passionate about exploring foreign cultures. Bilingual in French and English, she focuses on active listening, encouragement, and adapting to each learner’s needs. Emelyne fosters a caring, motivating environment where authentic exchanges help learners progress confidently at their own pace.
Melina Colasurdo Gallego
FSL Tutor
Since joining LRDG in 2023, Melina has brought her passion for languages and teaching to every lesson. With a B.A. in Hispanic Studies and an ongoing M.A. in Education and Second Language, she is captivated by how language acquisition shapes cross-cultural communication. Her experience teaching French in Madrid strengthened her ability to adapt to different proficiency levels, emphasizing patience and creativity. Known for her warm and engaging style, Melina makes language learning both enriching and rewarding.
Laurence Roberge
FSL & ESL Tutor
Laurence has been a French as a Second Language tutor at LRDG since January 2025. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Language Sciences (Psychology and Linguistics) and is currently studying Political Science, reflecting her interest in languages and cultures. With experience in tutoring and speech therapy, she offers an interactive and personalized approach that showcases both international French and French-Canadian culture, while providing a supportive environment and celebrating learners’ victories.
Elliott Katane
FSL Tutor
Elliott joined LRDG in December 2024 as a French as a Second Language tutor, bringing three years of teaching experience. Originally from France and now based in Canada for the past eight years, he is trilingual in French, English, and Spanish. His teaching style is rooted in deep listening and building human connection. He takes time to understand each learner’s level and goals, encouraging them to play an active role in their progress. What he enjoys most is seeing learners truly take ownership of their discoveries.
Elizabeth Angotti
ESL Tutor & Evaluator
Elizabeth has been an ESL tutor with LRDG since October 2021 and an evaluator since February 2025. With 15 years’ teaching experience, she has worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds. She has a BA (Hons) in French and Italian Studies, a TESL Certificate, and designations OCELT and ICTEAL. Passionate about language education, Elizabeth designs engaging, conversational lessons supported by digital media. Active in the TESL community, she also enjoys volunteering, music, and mystery shows.
Rania Chahine

Rania has been an FSL tutor at LRDG since 2022. With a background in literature and linguistics, she is trilingual and passionate about languages. Rania follows a structured methodology while keeping learners at the heart of her lessons, tailoring each session to their needs and interests to create an engaging learning experience.
Pascal Morissette

Pascal has been an FSL tutor at LRDG, bringing over 30 years of experience in education. Holding a bachelor’s degree in education, he integrates technology & andragogical differentiation into his sessions to develop functional language skills. Outside teaching, Pascal enjoys photography & exploring the outdoors year-round.
Carmen Cecilia Sanchez
ESL Tutor
Originally from Venezuela, Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Teaching. Her love for Montreal inspired her to move to Canada, where she continues to pursue her passion for teaching English. She creates a friendly and supportive learning environment, helping learners gain confidence in their communication skills. She enjoys using role plays to encourage fluency. Outside of teaching, she loves exploring the city and dancing to Latin music.
Rayane Zitouna

Rayane joined LRDG in January 2025 as a French as a Second Language tutor. With a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and a certification in Business Psychology, she brings over nine years of experience in teaching and educational support. Rayane is trilingual and passionate about intercultural pedagogy. Her approach is dynamic and learner-focused, encouraging students to embrace mistakes, stay curious, and enjoy the journey.
Sabrina Porselli
ESL Tutor
Sabrina has been an English as a Second Language Tutor and Evaluator at LRDG since 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology and is especially interested in how language reflects identity and daily interaction. Her sessions focus on real-world communication, using role plays and storytelling to build a relaxed, supportive space where learners can confidently express themselves.
Nawal Kaii
FSL Tutor
Nawal has been a French language tutor at LRDG for two years. She holds a bachelor's degree in French language and literature and a master's degree in cultural mediation. Nawal loves sharing her passion for French and teaching with enthusiastic learners. Patient and creative, she bases her sessions on mutual sharing to create a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere.
Marie Lergenmuller
FSL Tutor
Marie has been a dedicated tutor at LRDG since 2019, sharing her passion for languages and cultural understanding. Fluent in French, English, German, and Russian, she uses an engaging and immersive approach to help learners develop their language skills. An accomplished writer, Marie is the author of three sagas, Les Enfants du Temps, Les Fantômes du Sud, and Escape Edinburgh, and is currently working on her 14th novel. Her storytelling expertise further enhances her ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience.
Suzana Burlea
FSL Tutor
Suzana has been a dedicated French language tutor at LRDG since 2016. A true polyglot, she speaks five languages and holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UdeM. Passionate about languages, teaching, and the arts, particularly photography and dance, Suzana brings a vibrant energy to her sessions. Her favorite teaching method is sparking debates and encouraging learners to express their opinions on a variety of topics, fostering an engaging and thought-provoking learning environment.
Shayan Moharerzadeh Kurd
ESL Tutor
Shayan joined LRDG as an English tutor in August 2025, bringing over 20 years of teaching experience. His approach is student-centered, practical, and engaging. After many years in the classroom, he still enjoys learning from his students every day, which he considers one of the most rewarding parts of his career. Shayan holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Translation and two professional teaching certifications. He focuses on helping learners build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and use English effectively in academic and everyday situations.
Abi Briquet

Abi has been a French as a Second Language (FSL) tutor at LRDG since 2024. A lecturer and researcher in comparative literature and theology, she is passionate about language learning and is fluent in five languages. With expertise in teaching French, she applies her intellectual rigor, linguistic curiosity, and supportive teaching approach to create structured and interactive lessons tailored to each learner’s goals. Guylaine Cliche

Guylaine is a passionate French as a Second Language tutor at LRDG, where she has been supporting learners since September 2023. Fully bilingual in French and English, she is also currently learning Spanish. She holds a Multidisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in Literature and Languages and brings her love of words into every session. Guylaine enjoys helping learners engage with French in fun and meaningful ways, like exploring movies or music in the language, to keep the learning process both dynamic and enjoyable.
Alexandre Beaudoin Duquette

Alexandre is an experienced French tutor at LRDG, where he has been teaching since January 2025. With over a decade of experience across Canada and Latin America, he brings a rich intercultural perspective to his sessions. He holds multiple advanced degrees in Latin American studies, anthropology, and sociology, along with a teaching certificate in French as a foreign language. Fully trilingual, Alexandre believes that learning should be fun and engaging, creating dynamic lessons where students thrive.
Suzanne Detchkoff

Suzanne is an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor at LRDG with nearly a decade of experience. Trilingual and passionate about language learning, she has worked with students from around the world. Her approach focuses on creating a comfortable space where learners feel at ease speaking. Through conversation, discussion, and even debates, Suzanne helps students correct grammar, build vocabulary, and gain the confidence to engage in English across a wide range of topics. Her clear explanations and supportive teaching style consistently earn praise from learners.
Eugenette Morin
ESL Tutor
Eugénette (Gen) Morin is a creative writing coach and ESL teacher with over 15 years of international experience. She has taught learners of all ages and specialized courses like IELTS, TOEFL, and English for tourism. Gen holds an Honors Degree in Anthropology from Concordia University in Montreal. Outside of teaching, she writes short stories and poetry and runs a Patreon page for collaborative writing challenges. Her dynamic approach fosters both language proficiency and creative expression, making learning engaging and inspiring.
Celeste Daher

Since joining LRDG in October 2023, Celeste has brought her passion for languages and music to the classroom. Holding a DALF C1 certification and a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Modern Languages, she is highly qualified to guide learners on their language journey. As a professional singer, Celeste uniquely blends her musical background with her teaching, often incorporating rhythm and melody into her grammar lessons. Her creative approach makes learning both engaging and memorable.
Hicham Louasli
FSL Tutor
Hicham is an experienced French as a Second Language tutor who has been teaching since 2018 and joined LRDG in 2022. Passionate about multilingual communication and cultural exchange, he is a polyglot speaking French, English, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, and Amazigh. He draws on this diverse linguistic background to support learners from multiple perspectives. With a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and a diploma in Translation and Interpretation, he uses a structured, personalized approach that blends listening, speaking practice, and clear grammar explanations.
