Viktoriia is an experienced language tutor with over 13 years of teaching experience and a Master's degree and Ph.D. in English Linguistics, specializing in teaching English as a foreign language. She is passionate about language and literature, loves traveling and immersing herself in different cultures.

François Guillet

FSL Tutor

François has been a French as a second language tutor at LRDG since 2016. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and has published illustrated works on the built heritage of Montreal and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, as well as led introductory drawing workshops.


Marie-Laure Bejjany

FSL Tutor and Evalutor

Marie-Laure is a passionate and friendly French as a second language tutor. She holds a master's degree in linguistics. She has taught French in Lebanon for 6 years. Currently, she gives French tutoring sessions at LRDG, tailoring her approach to the needs of each learner.

Mary Blake Bonn

FSL Tutor

Mary Blake has been giving French as a second language tutoring sessions at LRDG since January. She is also a trained musician, holding a PhD in music theory from Western University. She is an avid language learner, currently self-taught in Spanish, and speaks some German and a little Italian.

Jaime Andres Negron Rodriguez

FSL Evaluator

Jaime joined LRDG in August 2023 as an evaluator. With a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages (French and Portuguese) from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Montreal, his diverse interests and expertise make him a valuable asset to our team. Jaime is also fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, and has a working knowledge of Italian.

Eléna Hkayem

FSL Tutor

Eléna holds a Master’s degree in French Language and Literature and brings over eight years of teaching experience. For the past three years at LRDG, she has passionately shared her knowledge while exploring new cultures. Trilingual, Eléna transitions between languages like a chameleon, adapting to connect with her students. Her dynamic approach makes learning an engaging and enjoyable experience.

Celeste Daher

FSL Tutor

Since joining LRDG in October 2023, Celeste has brought her passion for languages and music to the classroom. Holding a DALF C1 certification and a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Modern Languages, she is highly qualified to guide learners on their language journey. As a professional singer, Celeste uniquely blends her musical background with her teaching, often incorporating rhythm and melody into her grammar lessons. Her creative approach makes learning both engaging and memorable.

Émilie Bélanger

FSL Tutor

Émilie is a passionate French as a Second Language tutor at LRDG and a Master's student in International Relations at Laval University. Since joining LRDG in September 2024, Émilie has brought her love of languages into every lesson. Fluent in multiple languages—including French, English, Spanish, and Mandarin—she holds a particular affinity for Mandarin. She appreciates the patience and discipline required to master it and inspires her students with her commitment and enthusiasm for language learning.

Marianne-Justine is a warm and enthusiastic French as a Second Language tutor. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and Literature with a minor in Russian. Fluent in French and English, she joined LRDG in January 2024. She always encourages her learners to immerse themselves in the language in any way they can—listening, reading, or even just surrounding themselves with it—because getting used to the sounds of a language makes all the difference in the long run!

A true polyglot, she speaks French, English, and Arabic, with a basic knowledge of Spanish. Her love for languages is matched by her dedication to teaching them. Meriem strives to create a stimulating and motivating learning environment where each learner can thrive and gain confidence in their language journey.

Meryem Sen Karacaer

FSL Evaluator

Meryem joined LRDG in August 2023 as a French evaluator, bringing years of experience in teaching French and English. Since earning her double major in 2015, she has taught in Turkey and online to learners worldwide. A passionate linguist, Meryem speaks French, English, Turkish, Arabic, and is learning German. She loves reading novels, travelling, and helping learners achieve their language goals.

FSL Amélie Zarir

FSL Evaluator

Amélie, a dedicated French as a Second Language evaluator, joined LRDG with a rich cultural background from her Moroccan and Québécois roots. She holds a Master's degree in Anthropology and a Certificate in Specialized Second-Language Teaching. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, with a basic proficiency in Arabic and Indonesian, Amélie’s passion for languages, dance, and playing the cello enriches her work.

Marie Lergenmuller

FSL Tutor

Marie has been a dedicated tutor at LRDG since 2019, sharing her passion for languages and cultural understanding. Fluent in French, English, German, and Russian, she uses an engaging and immersive approach to help learners develop their language skills. An accomplished writer, Marie is the author of three sagas — Les Enfants du Temps, Les Fantômes du Sud, and Escape Edinburgh — and is currently working on her 14th novel. Her storytelling expertise further enhances her ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Suzana Burlea

FSL Tutor

Suzana has been a dedicated French language tutor at LRDG since 2016. A true polyglot, she speaks five languages and holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UdeM. Passionate about languages, teaching, and the arts—particularly photography and dance—Suzana brings a vibrant energy to her sessions. Her favorite teaching method is sparking debates and encouraging learners to express their opinions on a variety of topics, fostering an engaging and thought-provoking learning environment.

Ruairi O'Conghaile

Ruairí joined LRDG as an English tutor in December 2024, bringing years of teaching experience and a passion for languages. Originally from Ireland, he holds a Professional Master of Education from University College Dublin and has taught at the secondary level. A language enthusiast, Ruairí has been learning French in Montréal, explored Spanish in Mexico, and reconnected with his native Gaeilge (Irish). He encourages learners to embrace mistakes as part of building fluency and designs lessons that are engaging, accessible, and confidence-boosting.

Since the beginning of her collaboration with LRDG in 2023, Melina has brought her passion for languages and teaching to every lesson. With a B.A. in Hispanic Studies and an ongoing M.A. specializing in Education and Second Language, she is captivated by how language acquisition shapes interpersonal and cross-cultural communication. Her background in teaching French in Madrid enhanced her ability to adapt to various proficiency levels, emphasizing the value of patience and creativity. Known for her warm and engaging style, Melina makes language learning both enriching and rewarding.

Nawal has been a French language tutor at LRDG for two years. She holds a bachelor's degree in French language and literature and a master's degree in cultural mediation. Nawal loves sharing her passion for French and teaching with enthusiastic learners. Patient and creative, she bases her sessions on mutual sharing to create a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere.

Eugenette Morin

ESL Tutor

Eugénette (Gen) Morin is a creative writing coach and ESL teacher with over 15 years of international experience. She has taught learners of all ages and specialized courses like IELTS, TOEFL, and English for tourism. Gen holds an Honors Degree in Anthropology from Concordia University in Montreal. Outside of teaching, she writes short stories and poetry and runs a Patreon page for collaborative writing challenges. Her dynamic approach fosters both language proficiency and creative expression, making learning engaging and inspiring.

Carmen Cecilia Sanchez

ESL Tutor

Originally from Venezuela, Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Teaching. Her love for Montreal inspired her to move to Canada, where she continues to pursue her passion for teaching English. She creates a friendly and supportive learning environment, helping learners gain confidence in their communication skills. She enjoys using role plays to encourage fluency. Outside of teaching, she loves exploring the city and dancing to Latin music.
